Best for: Battleaxe / rear blocks and restricted-access sites
End of run poles sit at the end of consumer mains that have been run from a dome, or sub mains that have been run from a DMM or permanent pole, to the future meter box position. They are commonly used on rear blocks or where walls prevent under-wall trenching for standard temporary mains.
What's included
- Pole installation at the end of the customer-supplied consumer or sub mains
- Permanent meter installation and connection
Requirements
- Consumer mains installed from a Western Power dome, or sub mains installed from a DMM or permanent pole, to the future meter box location
- Permanent meter strongly recommended for these connections
How it works
- Your electrician installs the consumer or sub mains up to the meter box position
- We install the pole at the end of those mains
- The permanent meter is fitted and connected
Important notes
- Disconnection is more involved: the consumer or sub mains must be redirected into the house at the same time the meter is removed. We cannot leave a disconnected meter on site.
- Best suited to coordinated work with an electrician, particularly DMM-fed sites that can be isolated at the DMM.
- Cash and one-off customers should understand the meter relocation requirements before proceeding.
